How about the History Channel howler on a show some years back about the phony "Hitler diaries" ?

According to the fraudulent story, the diaries were in an airplane heading for Berchtesgaden.  When it was shot down by an American fighter, the diaries "were hurled into the diaspora."

An easy ten on the stupidism scale.

My wife heard it too, so unless we're both nuts....

Could the speaker have meant,

",,, trying to divine your personalities"?
