I don't know if Fred Shapiro has this one. I didn't see it in "Early American Newspapers."

(AMERICAN PERIODICAL SERIES)
PERSEVERANCE; OR, TRY AGAIN.; I. II. III.
Common School Assistant; a Monthly Paper, for the Improvement of Common School Education (1836-1840). Albany: Aug 1838. Vol. 3, Iss. 8; p. 63 (1 page) :
I.
'Tis a lesson you should heed,
 Try, try, try again;
If at first you don't succeed,
Try, try, try again.
Then your courage should appear;
For, if you will perservere,
You will conquer, never fear,
Try, try, try again.
II.
One or twice though you should fail,
Try, try, try again;
If you would at last prevail,
Try again.
If we strive, 'tis no disgrace,
Though we may not win the race;
What should you do in that case?
Try again.
III.
If you find your task is hard,
Try again;
Time will bring you your reward,
Try again.
All that other folks can do,
Why with patience should not you?
Only keep this rule in view,
Try again.
