As an expatriate New Yorker, this item brought a tear to my eye !

Not of nostalgia, just a tear.

I seem to recall a conversation from a generation ago that involved the question of whether Vietnam was as far away as California.  (Actually, lurkers, it's much farther ! )

A real lagniappe is the left-of-screen heading "Totally Alsome Quotes."  I guess that's the editors' spelling.

And hey, there's 60,000 raw Googlits for "alsome" !  It doesn't get any better than this !
