Barry antedates HDAS cite!

In his note on "Jeet chet ...," Barry cites the jazz tune from 1947, "Going
For The Okey-Doak," by Gene Ammons et al. on the MRC label of Mercury
Records.
"Go for the okey-doak," meaning approximately, "Allow oneself to be taken
advantage of," still lives in Los Angeles, where I first heard it ca. 1962.
HDAS has it from only 1967.
Barry, you go, boy! You've beaten HDAS by twenty years!
