I did an entry for "Bugs Bunny change-up" last year and found a
possibly relevant cite from 1994; it doesn't use the exact term, but
the player is talking about the same kind of pitch:

1993 Javier Morales Arizona Daily Star (June 30) “Barrett’s ‘super
slow ball’ baffles Edmonton” p. 5D: I perplexed them with my super
slow ball....I think I remember Bugs Bunny saying that once.

My first certain cite was from 1997.
