At my school (in Britain), trousers that were too short for the wearer were
known as 'floods', with exactly the same rationale as the one for 'highwaters',
obviously. Following on from that, people who wore such trousers were nicknamed
Noah. I've never heard of either usage anywhere else, not even in other British
schools.
