1723 _The ancient and present state of the University of Oxford_ 468
(Eighteenth Century Collections Online)  On the North side of this Court
is placed the _Civil Law-School_, and under it the _Moral
Philosophy-School_; and adjoining to the said _Law-School_ is the _School
of Languages_.

1790 _General Advertiser_ (Philadelphia) 28 Oct. 2 (Early American
Newspapers)  The college consists of three great departments, the
Philosophy Schools, the MEDICAL SCHOOLS, and the LAW SCHOOL. ... The
LAW-SCHOOL.  This _important_ SCHOOL has been lately instituted, and great
expectations are justly formed of its usefulness, from the great learning
and experience of the PROFESSOR who has been appointed, namely: Honorable
James Wilson, Esquire, one of the Associate Judges of the Supreme Court of
the United States.
