"acronyisms"

My point of view concerning these forms is that they are abbreviations
(the ones given are initialisms) not acronyms.  Acronyisms is a term of
dubious origin--probably due to ignorance of linguistic terminology.

I realise that nobody asked for my two cents.  I just thought I'd throw it
in.
