Thomson Gale / Time Digital Archive -- 1785 - 1985

Every ad, "letter", obit, etc. is in there; a pain if you're just
looking for news, but great for finding usage. Granted, the OCR
quality on earlier scans is poor (bordering on useless).

The Literary Supplement is also available - 1902 - 1990 (acc to their website).

These are $$$ subs, subscribed mostly by ARLs.
