There *is* a word out there (actually, two plus one variant), and I
have found them (one an adverb, the other an adjective):

predominantly (customary) -- or the variation predominately;
(undoubtedly) prevailing. -- prevailingly customary does not have the
right ring.

I have chosen the latter phrase.
