Ah, but remember "Old Sleuthfoot," object of many a bearhunt in /The Yearling./
It's not hard to imagine a foggy, tenuous sort of connection in the minds
of the confusers of "sleuth" and "slew" inasmuch as search engines
sleuthing the databases often bring forth a slew of material.
