Quite a few nuns I've known have taken male names and combined
them with other female ones:  Sister William Marie, Sister Helen
James John, Sister Elizabeth Henry, etc.  I think they're allowed to
re-name themselves when they become sisters and (evidently)
aren't restricted as to the gender of the name.  This, of course, is a
very esoteric phenomenon within a small community.
