Eggcorn?

This sentence appeared in a letter to the editor of the local paper regarding the recent troubles of Virginia Tech quarterback Marcus Vick:

  "If I were [coach] Frank Beamer, who has given Vick many more chances than he deserves, I would have kicked him off the team so fast it would make your head swim."
  This seems to be a blend of "make your head spin" and  the idea of swimming in the head/my head was swimming.
