Garbled posts

Over the last few weeks, several people have made reference to
unreadable posts, seemingly caused by incorrect message headers.
I've been trying to figure out why this is happening, but there
doesn't seem to be any pattern.

If this has happened to you recently, and if you can determine
any pattern at all--from a particular sender, at a particular
time of day, when using a particular mail reader--I'd be
grateful if you could e-mail me offlist (to jester at panix.com)
with details.
