Absolutely not, as I read it.

I think the question is roughly:

uxorious : doting husband :: X : doting parent

I don't have a good answer.

Incidentally, "oyabaka" [noun, lit., "parent-fool" or so] seems quite
common in Japanese with this sort of meaning.
