OT: language awareness, linguistics, and freshman comp.

Thanks for the suggestions!
I was planning on having the kids work as teams and write a
dictionary entry (pron, ety, part of speech, definition) for a term
used in their community and then write about how they did that, how
they use it, and its significance within that community, etc.
