I remember the song. There was an old - well, probably only
middle-aged, but I was just an adolescent in those days - couple who
were professional ballroom dancers. They called themselves "The Old
Smoothies" and used the song as their signature. They were big enough
that they often appeared on TV.

BTW, is it true that the Waring Blendor/er was invented by the same
(Fred) Waring who was a well-known orchestra leader, back in the day?
