"They just snapped right into half" --(blend)

     I heard the following blend in 1989 on a TV report about Hurricane Hugo and then jotted it right down; the reference is to pine trees:
"They just snapped right into half" --- from: "They just snapped (right) in half"  + "They just broke (right) into two pieces."
