If one is fortunate enough to live close to a library of a university
that one graduated from, and the university subscribes, and one is
65, the cost may be lower. One unnamed university used to be
$10/year, but the coming September 1 will be $50/year. Their charge
for juniors (i.e., under 65) is $200/year--still less than $800 for
each of three semesters (and what happens during intersessions?)
