I've discusses "Team Titanic" for your NBA disaster show known as the New  
York Knickerbockers. They've also been called "Team Turmoil."

Maybe someone can check this in The Sporting News. It appears that the  first 
"Team Turmoil" was the 1977 New York Yankees. The University of Kentucky  
also has used "Team Turmoil," as have the Chicago Cubs and other teams. But  
"Team Turmoil" and "Team Titanic" both seem New York to me.
