Call for Papers

The American Dialect Society, Rocky Mountain  Region, with the Rocky
mountain Modern Language Association, Oct 12-14, 2006, Tucson, AZ

We welcome papers dealing with varieties of English.  Presentations may be
based in traditional dialectology or in other areas of language variation
and change, including sociolinguistics, anthropological linguistics,
folk linguistics, languageand language attitudes, and critical discourse
analysis.

April 13, 2006 is the deadline for 300-word abstracts. Email submissions
only.
