I can offer "seal" (phonetically) in Plainview, Long Island (New York)
around 1979-1980.

Has anyone else heard that? Apparently it was too much effort to enunciate
"Sicilian pizza."

primarily as the Dutch/Afrikaans abbreviation for "Zuid-Afrika"

= "South Africa."
