Readers of HDAS (and I do mean "readers") know that "on the hog" (or "on a hog") used to mean "broke or being a hobo." That explains the title of guitarist Jimmie Tarlton's "Down in Florida on a Hog" on the album _Steel Guitar Rag_.
If you listen carefully you will hear Tarlton say "Floridy" every time. In the song "Pretty Little Girl," he sings "Georgy." Tarlton was born in South Carolina (i.e., "-liny") in 1892 and died in 1979.
