Antedating of "Gay Bashing"

searching under "gay-bashing", i got these two earlier items, from
titles:

Queer-bashing laborer gets life for English park murder
   Advocate 5/8/74, issue 137, p. 14

Queer Bashing Tucson Style
   Advocate 6/30/76, issue 193, p. 10

but now it turns out the OED has "queer bashing" back to 1970 (see
Ben Zimmer posting), and Fred also found that one.
