New accent descriptors !

Director Raoul Walsh was born in N.Y. in 1887. In a capsule review of Walsh's 1933 film _The Bowery_, Richard Brody sez, "Only someone who was there [in the 1890s] could have caught the chewy, gimcrack accents" (_New Yorker_, Dec. 4, 2006, p. 29).

  Mmmmmmmmm ! Chewy !
