Linda Williams, in her writing on pornography, says that the male-
oriented segment of the genre strives for "maximum visibility" in
just these three ways -- of the penis (in erection), of the act of
penetration, and of the moment of ejaculation.  soft-core porn cuts
the line very close: there will be shots of a head in the lap of a
man, for instance, leaving no real question about what's going on,
and ejaculation is regularly depicted by a shot of the O-face (see
previous threads).
