Google to Offer Deep-Web Searches

Ugh! They don't let you order the search results by date. They could have
done this, since all the articles are dated, but didn't. There is a
"timeline" feature that groups results into periods, but they are unordered
within those groupings. You can specify dates that you want to search, but
if you get a large number of hits, you'll need to do multiple searches to
reduce the number down to a manageable set.
You still need access to view the results in proprietary databases like
Newspaperarchive.com. But at least Google will tell you something might be
there.
