I believe that this is a quote from the minority opinion. The majority
opinion quotes Yerkes favorably (in the quote that I put in my last posting).
Perhaps there was no opposing linguist--I may have misremembered--though as I recall
the majority-opinion judge mentioned such a linguit, but not by name.
