Darla Wells asked:

I am looking for the origin of the expression "fuck you money." I found
a reference to Mike Royko:

Kurson takes a blunter tack. "I like to talk about fuck-you money," he
said, quoting famed Chicago journalist Mike Royko. "Enough money so that if
you needed to, you could tell your boss, 'Fuck you,' and you wouldn't be
eating Alpo afterwards."

It seems to me like I remember Dave Chapelle the comedian talking about
it on one of his shows, but it was a f-u-farm.

"Fuck You" as an adjectival phrase appears in the song "Timid Frieda" in "Jacques Brel is alive and well and living in Paris". This is a translation of Brel's French-language song "Les Timides", translated into English by Eric Blau. According to the jacket of the "Original Motion Picture Soundtract", Blau made the translation sometime between November 1966 and May 1967; the jacket does not say when the stage show was first performed.

The line in question is "her brave new fuck-you stand".
