A modern citation, from memory: As the Goon Show episode satirizing “Six
Characters in Search of an Author” comes to a close, Neddy Seagoon has
married heiress Gladys Minkwater.  But as they leave the church, Bluebottle
seizes the typewriter and causes Gladys to notice in the crowd “a CERTAIN
virile youth”.  Neddy shrieks his protest, but Bluebottle writes himself and
Gladys into a powerful sports cars and they roar off just ahead of the
closing announcements.
