Btw, we probably deal here with a lexical blend: "revolted" + "repulsed."  This blend ("revulsed"), by containing elements of both words, might also express greater intensification than either of its two components.

Can't say when I first heard "revulsed."  I'd be amazed if it was less than forty years ago.
