Mystery solved. This is on Wikipedia's "snow cone" entry:
...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snow_cone
Samuel Bert<http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Samuel_Bert&action=edit>of
Dallas sold snow cones at the State
Fair of Texas <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/State_Fair_of_Texas> in
1919<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1919>,
and he invented a snow cone-making machine in
1920<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1920>.
Bert was a fixture at the State Fair, selling his snow cones there (and
selling his machines world-wide) until his death in
1984.[1]<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snow_cone#_note-0>
...
...
The citation is to my website, where "Sammie Bert" (not "Samuel Bert") is
mentioned. So whoever composed this AOL food quiz got the informationfrom
me. I sure wish that I could receive credit or even a single penny. I can't
even afford to buy a snow cone.
...
The funny thing is, I forgot my own info and actually guessed "1922"!
