Interesting suggestion on eggcorning (or euphemizing?)
reinterpretation of "Cannibal" as "Cannonball". As for Hannibal, the
name is now more likely to evoke Anthony Hopkins and unpleasant
dining habits than elephants, Alps, and the Punic Wars. Alas.
