An AP business writer in an article about the current buying habits of
these pathetic few, uses the term "A-listers." Is this just journalese or
is it encountered in the wild?
This same writer used "middlebrow" to refer to mid-level shopping venues,
which struck me as a bit of a stretch. "Up-market" & "down-market" might
yield "middle," "mid," or "mezzo (if, say, a boutique)," -mart or market,
but "brow " doesn't belong there, IMO!
