For me, it's the opposite. I remember the Submariner so clearly that
I'm not sure that I remember Aquaman. That is to say. I remember that
there was an Aquaman, but I don't recall for certain how he differed
from Prince Namor. The prince wasn't human, he was the scion of an
underwater kingdom, was humanoid in appearance, but had a face shaped
like a triangle standing on one of its apices, and had fins on his
ankles like unto Mercury's wings. They looked like the "wings" of
flying fishes. He may also have had fins on his arms and legs.
Naturally, he had webbed fingers and toes.
