Ghost poop, husband-in-law, and other "family words"

In an attempt to coin one, I'd suggest drint, for _dry mint_, since dried
mint isn't fresh, but it still is, in a manner of speaking, in mint
condition.
(That could, of course, be in a manor of speaking, of this were the type of
thing one might say, as a matter of course, around such a place.)

*Is there a verb for coining that doesn't presuppose 'for the first
time'?  I'd expect others to have independently "coined" the same or
a synonymous verb.
