Steve Whitmore, spokesman for the LA County Sheriff's Department, describes Paris Hilton's new status (out of jail, confined to her home for forty days with a monitoring anklet) as "a reassignment due to a medical condition."

  When a reporter asked (essentially), "But isn't she like a puppet on a string?  One minute she's in jail and the next she doesn't like it so she's out?"  Whitmore replied (essentially): "That is one way of describing the situation, though I would say your language is more [_pause_] liquid."

  A publicist describes the famed Bimbo Summiteer as "huger than ever" as a result of her jail time.
