Poot and Putin . . .

A memory suddenly bubbled to the surface of my roiling brain: In grade school, my bawdy associates and I read _Hans Brinker and the Silver Skates_ with great hilarity--because of the presence of a character named Jakob Poot. (The recollection is so vivid that it simply HAS TO be accurate!)
