Further, meaning pre-Handelsman? Marc Galanter, _Lowering the Bar: Lawyer
Jokes and Legal Culture_, says: "It is not clear whether Handelsman's
cartoon was inspired by an older and unrecorded joke, or whether such a
joke was derived from the cartoon and then recollected, or whether the
joke was bred by mis-recollection of the cartoon."
