I don't know about Coney Island, but more than a thousand Filipinos
were notoriously put on display in the "Igorot Village" at the 1904
World's Fair in St. Louis.
And just to bring this back to familiar ADS-L territory, here's an
article that claims the Igorot Village inspired the "hot dog"
(uh-oh!):
