Pentagon fields new Language Corps

I was talking recently with an elderly friend who was a great engineer
but who is definitely not a language guy. He was decrying the fact that
the military has so few people who speak Arabic, and he went on to say
that it's particularly bad because there's not just one language, but
lots of derelicts!
