Need for "common sense" phonetic spelling

This site has a survey for UK natives by a well known UK dictionary
publisher.  I flag it because it is from a well known expert in linguistics
as well.   Here he gives this type notation, "no-TAY-shun," the title,
"common sense" phonetic spelling.  However, it is not consistent with itself
nor standardized.  It shows the existance of a giant gap, even for experts,
of an English friendly phonetic notation.  This gap is real and
debilitating.  Truespel fills this gap and it's mature for USA English and
free.  It's designed as a phonetic notation simple enough for kids, but for
adults as well to integrate reading instruction, dictionary keys,
translation guides, and remediation and analysis tools for the first time.

out schwas, as truespel does.  This job of spelling out schwas is done for
