This from my music teacher, Robert "Bob" Johnson, about 1974. Bob was a
specialist in Renaissance and Baroque music.

Did he also say "If it ain't Baroque, Fix It!!" ??

Bob was too much of a Renaissance man to use such a plebian pun. He
would have considered it evil, or at least medievil.
(And shouldn't that read "If it ain't Baroque, Don't Fix It!!"?)
Another Bob Johnson quote: "When I was little, I always wondered why
the Christians and the Jews couldn't get along, since they were both
white" (Bob, despite his musical tastes, was African-American)
- Jim Landau, who, thanks to Bob Johnson's instruction, can still
play the recorder flute
