My family moved from Utah to the Chicago area when I was going in to the 2nd grade. I came home on the first day full of my grievances after the teacher scolded me for not paying attention when she told me to spell egg phonetically. I had! In Utah the first sound in egg is a long a - so of course I spelled it agg. As in eggcorn?
