I'm reminded (when I'm not busy stifling nausea at the press this
dude's getting) of the movie _My Big Fat Greek Wedding_. The father
of the female lead asserts that all words -- everywhere, in every
language -- come from Greek. Someone asks him about "kimono". His
reply: "Kimono, kimono, kimono. Ha! Of course! Kimono is come from
the Greek word himona, is mean winter. So, what do you wear in the
wintertime to stay warm? A robe. You see: robe, kimono. There you
go!" In another scene, he tells his daughter's fiance, whose name is
Miller, that his name comes from Greek "milo", meaning apple.
Someone could make a funny movie about Daniel Cassidy. If he weren't
for real. Sob.
James Harbeck.
