Antedating of Yeah

"Lorboard" ("larboard") I understand here, as a synonym for "port" 'left'.
But "to leeward"? That means 'downwind'. I wonder if Bynner knew that, or
just thought it was another one of those peculiar nautical synonyms for
"left" and "right".
