Here is a little book readable in full via Google Books:
Wallace Irwin, _The Love Sonnets of a Hoodlum_ (Elder and Shepard,
San Francisco, 1902).
It is full of slang (deliberately). The pages aren't numbered, but
under "XIV" we have:
