Yes. The guy who saw a similar sight a month ago was so in awe of, and
distracted by, the beauty of the event that he crashed his car. This is the
"perilous beauty".

Apparently, from the article, beauty sufficient to impel one to drive
into a concrete barrier and total one's car, which is perilous enough
for me.
