In Mr Butters' original I got numbers an letters in brackets.
[=C3=A6],= [=C3=BC], [3],=20 [=C3=B8], [=C3=A9], [=C5=93], and [=E2=88=82].
In Mr Zwicky's repost I got the correct symbols.
In Mr Horn's re-repost I got question marks.
The [3] showed up in each.
