Whenever I hear a good example

So I turned on SportsCenter this evening, and was subjected to the end
of a car race (I couldn't tell you what kind, but the vehicles actually
looked like cars) at Poconos racetrack. In the course of the commentary,
I was treated to this gem:

"Sometimes whenever you slow down the car drives worse."

I didn't catch who the commentators were, to look up biographical info,
but the accent was pretty clearly South Midland to Southern.
